About Me

I am a Research Scientist at Meta (formerly Facebook) AI, working in a team that builds cutting-edge Generative AI solutions for conversational commerce. My past projects include building ML/NLP models for modern Recommender Systems and AI integrity. My research interests include Multimodal and Multilingual Understanding, Large Language Models, Graph Neural Nets and Commonsense AI.

Before joining Meta, I received my PhD in Computer Science from George Mason University in 2021. I was advised by Dr. Huzefa Rangwala and Dr. Hemant Purohit. My PhD thesis was on cross-lingual and cross-domain NLP. During my PhD, I did research internships at Meta, NASA Goddard, and Amazon Alexa. At NASA, I was advised by Mission Systems Engineer Mr. Patrick Coronado in designing a virtual assistant for Systems Engineers. At Amazon, I built a Teacher-Student knowledge distillation model to improve Alexa’s NLU. I was also a faculty at GMU and at the Governor’s School, teaching undergraduate courses such as Data Structures, Object Oriented Programming, and Intro to Programming. Prior to this, I obtained my Bachelor’s in Computer Science (and a minor in Economics) from University of Virginia.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, playing badminton/soccer/chess, and some occasional photography. Feel free to connect with me via LinkedIn.
